New East Infrastructure! I found some new cycling Infrastructure that NDOT has been working on at the intersections of S 14th Street & Davidson St, and Porter Rd and Riverside Dr. Understandably, I wish that the protected bike lane followed the entirety of S 14th Street, but I suspected that it would not considering how the road narrows. Overall, this is a nice improvement for the Shelby Hills neighborhood.
Additionally, NDOT refreshed some paint and the bikers box at the intersection of Porter Road and Riverside Drive. I would have loved to seen similar bump-outs implemented at this intersection, too. But unfortunately those did not make an appearance.
The 2024 Tour de Nash is this weekend and we are looking forward to getting out and seeing everyone!
