Hello!  Welcome to MiddleTNCycling Event Style guides.  This is a sample event that showcases the different ways that event descriptions can be stylized.  Please use this as a reference to make your event listings as appealing as possible.  Our event description editor is straightforward, but we’re always happy to help you with any problems.  It is important to note that stylized text will appear differently in the editor than it does once submitted.

These same styles apply for Venue and Organizer pages.

Here are examples of the different Heading styles, with a short paragraph of Lorem Ipsum text underneath each:

This is an example of Heading 1

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit, sed do eiusmod tempor incididunt ut labore et dolore magna aliqua. Erat imperdiet sed euismod nisi. Nunc pulvinar sapien et ligula ullamcorper malesuada. Aliquet sagittis id consectetur purus ut faucibus pulvinar.

This is an example of Heading 2

Pellentesque diam volutpat commodo sed. Rhoncus dolor purus non enim. Sit amet luctus venenatis lectus magna fringilla urna porttitor rhoncus. Blandit aliquam etiam erat velit scelerisque in.

This is an example of Heading 3

Eu scelerisque felis imperdiet proin fermentum leo. Dui vivamus arcu felis bibendum ut tristique et egestas quis. Proin nibh nisl condimentum id venenatis a. Facilisis mauris sit amet massa vitae tortor condimentum lacinia quis.

This is an example of Heading 4

Tristique risus nec feugiat in fermentum posuere urna. Aliquet porttitor lacus luctus accumsan tortor. Vitae aliquet nec ullamcorper sit. Enim eu turpis egestas pretium. Enim sed faucibus turpis in eu mi bibendum neque. Laoreet id donec ultrices tincidunt arcu.

This is an example of Heading 5

Faucibus interdum posuere lorem ipsum dolor sit amet consectetur. Ornare arcu dui vivamus arcu felis bibendum. At consectetur lorem donec massa sapien. Donec adipiscing tristique risus nec feugiat in.

Here’s an example of Heading 6. Use it when you want to make a section of your text stand out in a different colored box. It’s great for highlighting specific info you want to show off.

Below is an example of a Horizontal Line placeholder, which can be used to separate different parts of your event description:

Bulleted and Numbered Lists

You can also use bulleted lists and numbered lists to highlight details of your event:

• This is a bulleted list!
• You can let people know about information
• Bicycles are rad!

If you need to share information in a sequential order, a numbered list can be helpful:

1. First, you must read this line
2. Then you may continue to the next
3. Bicycles are awesome!

Other Goodies

Block quotes can also be effective at drawing attention if you are highlighting a specific passage or quotation in your event description:

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit, sed do eiusmod tempor incididunt ut labore et dolore magna aliqua. Erat imperdiet sed euismod nisi. Nunc pulvinar sapien et ligula ullamcorper malesuada. Aliquet sagittis id consectetur purus ut faucibus pulvinar. Tempus quam pellentesque nec nam. Mauris a diam maecenas sed enim ut sem viverra aliquet. Viverra mauris in aliquam sem fringilla ut morbi. Elit duis tristique sollicitudin nibh sit amet. Vel pretium lectus quam id leo in vitae. Nulla aliquet porttitor lacus luctus accumsan.

Text can be made bold.  And it can be made italics, too.  You can even change the color of the text if it suits you.

You can indent paragraphs in your event description.  And any text can be made into a hyperlink.
