Gosh Darn Gravel Gathering

Cumberland Transit March 29 - March 31 Cost: $100 Event Categories: , ,

The Gosh Darn Gravel Gathering is Tennessee’s premiere gravel cycling event.

The Gosh Darn Gravel Gathering is a community-centric, multi-day campout and gravel ride in Hickman County, Tennessee.

The event was founded in 2015, fueled by a shared love of gravel cycling, camping, and adventure. Though it was run as a race for the first three years, it now exists as a non-competitive event seeking to unite diverse participants through shared passions.

Each event aims to provide a welcoming space for seasoned and novice riders to challenge themselves with the toughest riding in Tennessee – All while raising awareness and funding for the Oasis Center’s Bicycle Workshop – a program that has impacted the lives of over 3,000 youth in Middle Tennessee.

Event Notes

You ever just wanna go camping and ride some gravel with your friends? Yeah, us too. That’s why we started this bike-ride-with-a-party-in-the-woods. This is a ride, not a race! We know that “gravel racing” is a thing now, but we haven’t been racing since 2015 and don’t plan on starting to either.

So here’s what to expect:

Free camping, a delicious, nutritious, and filling post-ride meal, post-ride beverages (sober friends, we got you! Tasty NA bevs guaranteed.), bonfire, shenanigans and games, and that party-in-the-woods thing we talked about.

As much gravel as you can ride, we’ve got 17, 34, 42, 63, and 100-mile routes of Tennessee’s most gnarly gravel. It’ll have you saying “gosh” and “darn” more than once.

  • An absolutely premium, unforgettable good time.
  • One resupply stop on the 17- and 34-mile routes, two resupply stops on the 42- and 63-mile routes, and three resupply stops on the 100-mile route.
  • There will be a time cut-off for 100-mile riders. If you do not make it to the aid station in Bucksnort (approx. mile 53) by 1 pm, you will be pulled from the ride and asked to take the 18-mile bailout to the start.
  • A pre-ride party on Friday filled with bikes and shenanigans.
  • A big post-ride party and bonfire at the lodge with live music and DJs!

50% of the profits from Gosh Darn 7 and all proceeds from raffle ticket sales will go to the Oasis Center’s Bicycle Workshop. A program that has affected the lives of 3,000 youth in Middle Tennessee since its inception. We’re honored to make contributions that help introduce youth to the joys of riding bikes.
