Hi, I’m Charlie!
I’ve lived in Middle Tennessee since 2002 and have been a cyclist all my life, starting with mountain biking as a kid, and now, primarily road cycling. Cycling has always been a part of my routine, whether for commuting or recreation, and I’ve had the chance to explore much of Nashville and Middle Tennessee by bike.
I spent many years working in Nashville’s hospitality industry, developing skills in customer service, team leadership, and event coordination. During that time, I also managed marketing efforts, from redesigning websites to handling social media. In addition, I spent ten years working as a Media and Artist Relations Manager for an indie music publication, where I managed content creation and worked closely with musicians, photographers, and writers.
Currently, I work in healthcare supply chain IT, where I continue to focus on problem-solving.
Beyond work, I’ve dedicated my spare time to becoming more involved in cycling advocacy. I launched MiddleTNCycling.com, a resource for cyclists in the area, featuring a public events calendar and media blog with a YouTube channel and Instagram. I’m also a member of Nashville’s Vision Zero Advisory Committee, working to eliminate fatalities and serious injuries on Metro Nashville roads. I serve on the Outreach and Engineering & Planning subcommittees, and I chair the Strategic Planning subcommittee. I do my best to follow all facets of Nashville’s government that impact cyclists, as well as those in surrounding cities and counties.
Cycling has been a way for me to stay connected to the community and advocate for a more bike-friendly Middle Tennessee. I’m passionate about making it easier for others to enjoy biking, no matter the ride, and whether for fun or as part of daily life.
I look forward to meeting you on the roads and trails! Cheers!
