DESCRIPTION:Please visit our Bike Blitz Information and Resource Page for even more information\n\nWhat is a Bike Blitz?\nA Bike Blitz is inspired by the concept of a BioBlitz\, where communities document as many species as possible in a set timeframe.  Instead of cataloging wildlife\, we’re mobilizing Nashville cyclists to identify and report issues through hubNashville. \nWhy a Bike Blitz?\nMany cyclists notice hazards and problem areas but don’t always report them. A coordinated week-long effort will highlight the scale of needed improvements and push for action.  The Blitz will be from April 5–11\, the week before the Nashville Bicycle Festival. \nHow do I Blitz?\nRide as you normally would\, but take the time to submit hubNashville requests for issues you see — potholes\, blocked bike lanes\, faded markings\, and more…  We’ll provide simple guides to make reporting easy. Please help spread the word!

We will learn more about  \nthe hows and whys of greenway riding\nbasic bicycle maintenance\nfeatures of Shelby Park and Bottoms\nthe work Friends of Shelby Park does to support the park. \nDepending on the number of riders\, we may split up into different pace groups. \nRide schedule & details\nMeet at the Nature Center Trailhead – look for the bicycle riders by the trailhead sign. No RSVP required (unless you need a bicycle – see below!)   \nMeet up starting at 5pm for a bike inspection and hang out. We’ll provide a safety overview and check everyone’s tires. SUMMARY:2024 Juneteenth Freedom Day Ride - Nashville
DESCRIPTION:Come ride with us for the Juneteenth Freedom Day bike ride on Saturday June 15th. Riders will meet at Frankie Pierce Park at 7:00 am and the rides start at 7:45 am! The organizations involved in this year’s event are Bike For Equality\, Black Girls Do Bike\, Oasis Bike Works\, Walk Bike Nashville\, Music City Dope Peddlers and Nashville Black Wellness Collective. There will be a 25 mile self guided marked route and a 10 mile group/family ride led by the Music City Dope Peddlers. Each registration comes with a ride pin and number and an event T-shirt. You will pick up your T-shirt\, ride pins and all information the day of the ride at Frankie Pierce Park during check-in; starting at 7:00 am.
