SUMMARY:Tour de Nash 2025
DESCRIPTION:Walk Bike Nashville’s 21st Annual Tour de Nash\, presented by LDA Engineering\, will kick-off at 7 a.m.\, Saturday\, May 17\, 2025\, starting and ending by Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park. As the city’s largest urban bike ride\, this signature event also serves as Walk Bike Nashville’s major fundraiser for the year.  \nTour de Nash is a ride\, not a race\, providing a casual and fun opportunity to explore the city’s bikeways\, neighborhoods\, and greenways with a whole community of friendly bicycle riders. The non-competitive spirit of this event is conducive to a “party-pace”–a leisurely pace that promotes conversation with fellow riders and encourages stops at destinations and rest stops along the way. \nNo matter what your age\, experience level\, or riding style is\, there’s a route for you\, and in 2025 we’ve brought back the FREE family-friendly City tour! Not only is this year’s shortest route free\, it combines fully closed streets with greenway segments to provide a multi-mile\, car-free route for the first time in Tour de Nash history. The Local (25 mi) Tour and Grand (45 mi) Tour offer options for riders looking for a longer ride. All three routes include rest stops with water\, snacks\, bathroom facilities\, and basic bicycle maintenance equipment.

SUMMARY:Erase the Trace 2025
DESCRIPTION:The Scott Hamilton CARES Foundation is pleased to present the 4th annual Erase the Trace of Glioblastoma. The ride was established in 2021 to fund research into the treatment of glioblastoma tumors. Glioblastoma is one of the most deadly forms of cancer. Even with the successful surgical removal of a glioblastoma tumor\, a trace of cancer cells remains\, waiting to attack again. Our ride is named both for these trace margins and the Natchez Trace Parkway\, the premier location of our event. \nOur race will be held out and back from The Loveless Cafe with 100-mile\, 30-mile\, and 10-mile options. We also have a virtual ride for those who cannot attend in person.

SUMMARY:The Milligan (formerly Big Hill Challenge)
DESCRIPTION:The Big Hill Challenge is now The Milligan. \nIt is our honor to bring you The Milligan (formerly known as The Big Hill Challenge) and to share who our fellow cyclist and friend was. \nIn 2023 the cycling community\, friends and family lost Alyssa Milligan when she was killed by a motorist while riding on Hwy. 100 in Nashville\, TN. Alyssa loved God and she was a reflection of God’s love to all she encountered. She had a huge smile and an easy way. If you met her\, you were her friend. Alyssa was an avid and skilled cyclist who easily and naturally brought cyclists together. It is because of this very special gift of hers that The Milligan is now a signature event that portrays the community\, family and strength of how Alyssa lived her life. \nWe cannot bring her back\, but we can keep her in our hearts and minds as we advocate for safer streets. The Milligan will celebrate Alyssa and provide a means to advocate for safer streets through the proceeds. Join us in remembering Alyssa’s contagious smile\, passion for cycling\, and desire to bring people together. \nThe 20th annual ride is June 8th\, 2024 in Watertown\, TN. The most beautiful ride in Middle Tennessee\, The Milligan begins and ends in Watertown\, TN.\, nestled just outside of Nashville. Watertown and the surrounding countryside combine breathtaking scenery and challenging terrain to create the perfect spot for an unforgettable cycling adventure.
